Who Participates?

FCSS funding is available to all municipalities and Metis Settlements that chooses to develop and deliver social programs that are preventive in nature. On April 1, 2006, a total of 304 municipalities and Metis Settlements, organized within 199 Programs, were providing FCSS services throughout Alberta. The total provincial population of communities that are currently not is less than 12,000. (Note: The number of municipalities/Metis settlements and the number of programs may fluctuate within a given year because of changes in municipality status and/or local decisions regarding program delivery.)
