Triple P - Positive Parenting Program
Hiring Service Providers
In Alberta, parents are responsible for choosing the service provider to work with their child and family. Parents may access a service provider in one of two ways: by directly hiring an individual in their community, or obtaining services through an established agency (business). Families who are hiring caregivers may be considered employers by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Read more.
The FSCD Concerns Resolution Process
The FSCD program will work with parents to resolve any concerns that may arise. Parents are encouraged to bring forward any concerns to their FSCD worker. Read more about the FSCD Concerns Resolution Process.
Specialized Services and Multi-Disciplinary Team
Specialized ServicesSpecialized services are intended to support families of children with severe disabilities to acquire specific skills and learn strategies to help promote their child’s development and participation in normal daily living activities at home and in the community. Individualized Service Plan
An Individualized Service Plan (ISP) is a document that outlines the individualized strategies that the family and their specialized services team will follow as they work together to meet the family’s and child’s needs. Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)
The Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) is a group of health professionals established by the FSCD program to provide consultation to FSCD workers when making decisions about providing specialized services. Read more about the MDT.
