If you have a medical concern, a provision in our legislation permits us to seek Ministerial Consent to make contact with the adoptee/adoptive family or birth family in order to relay this information.

In order to process a request of this nature, we require a letter from a medical doctor confirming the diagnosis as well as addressing the severity of the medical condition (i.e. is it hereditary, life threatening and would it be in the best interest of the adoptee/birth family member to be advised of the condition?).
