Family and Community Support

Children and Youth Services has a number of programs and services that support families and communities.

  • Child and Youth Support Program
The Child and Youth Support Program provides financial and medical benefits for a child when the parents/guardians are unable or unwilling to care for the child, and the child is being cared for in another home of an adult caregiver.
  • Family and Community Support Services
Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is an 80/20 funding partnership between the Government of Alberta, and municipalities or Métis Settlements. Under FCSS, communities design and deliver social programs that are preventive in nature to promote and enhance well-being among individuals, families, and communities.
