Youth in Transition

Alberta's ongoing prosperity and quality of life depends on the development of youth's ability to share their skills, knowledge, energy and enthusiasm.

The Youth in Transition Initiative recognizes that the majority of youth (aged 13 to 24 years) in Alberta are successfully managing the challenges of transition to adulthood. However, there is a small proportion of youth who do not have all of the necessary supports, skills or developmental abilities to manage transition toward healthy adulthood.

NEW!

Guidelines for Supporting Successful Transitions for Children and Youth
A new practical, research-based resource is available to help youth make healthy and successful transitions throughout the various stages of their lives. Staff from various ministries worked together to develop this valuable tool.

The Youth Services Directory was created to connect Alberta's youth, and those working with youth in Alberta, to resources and services that they otherwise may not be aware of. We hope you find the Youth Services Directory as a valuable tool in your search for learning, career and employment information.
