Dr. Jaffe has been the recipient of many prestigious awards including: Violence Against Women Symposium 2002 Award, which honoured his work, activism and advocacy at the local, provincial and national level, BC Institute on the Violence Prevention (2002); Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) Professional Award (1998); and Muriel McQueen Fergusson Award for contributions in the area of reducing family violence (1994).

Dr. Jaffe has been widely published, co-authoring nine books and contributing over 60 articles to either peer-reviewed journals, or as chapters. He is a frequent expert witness providing expert testimony in the following areas: assessment and treatment of young offenders; custody and access disputes; post- traumatic stress disorder; domestic violence against women and children; treatment of violent offenders; and impact of violence on victims and child witnesses.
