Message to the Youth Delegates

Youth are often referred to as leaders of tomorrow, but in fact, they are leaders today. When given the opportunity, youth demonstrate that they are some of the most innovative and inspiring contributors to solution-focused discussions. A strong youth voice at the World Conference on Prevention of Family Violence will broaden discussions, challenge current thinking and lead the way for sustained change.

The engagement of youth is integral to the success of the World Conference. Meaningful and respectful youth engagement has the ability to affect decision makers, researchers and the existing policies and practices at a number of levels. It is intended that the involvement of young people, through conference and youth only feedback sessions, will provide a number of benefits to the youth delegates, their communities of origin and the conference participants.

The World Conference on Prevention of Family Violence welcomes youth delegates to attend the youth-only sessions outlined in this program that will be both educational and empowering. You are encouraged to select additional sessions from the main conference program.
