Child care subsidy

Subsidy is available for eligible low- and middle-income parents who wish to use a licensed pre-school, group family child care, day care, out-of-school care program or an approved family day home.  An additional subsidy may be available for parents who work non-traditional hours and require extended hours of child care.

To speak to someone about child care subsidy, contact the child care branch at your local child and family services authority.

Choosing or finding child care

Choosing a child care program that meets your family and child’s needs is an important decision.  You know your family’s needs better than anyone else. You should spend time learning about and researching your options so you can feel confident and comfortable with your final decision.

Other child care options

If you need child care outside regular business hours, if a relative cares for your children, or if you are a stay-at-home parent, you may qualify for support.
