Sexual Assault Centres
Nine sexual assault centres across Alberta, along with their provincial association, have been provided with $1.6 million in government funding to support services for victims of sexual violence.
Sexual assault centres provide a safe place for healing to begin for those who have been victimized, both young and old. Services include: crisis intervention counseling (individual and group), education and awareness programs aimed at prevention, and advocacy and support for survivors as they deal with this serious crime.
