Day of Rememberance
December 6 is the the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
This day is dedicated to the memory of the 14 women killed 18 years ago at L'École Polytechnique in Montreal on December 6, 1989. It is also a time to raise awareness that violence against women continues to exist in communities throughout Canada.
Events in Alberta to commemorate December 6 in 2009 will be announced in November.
