November is Family Violence Prevention Month and in 2008 youth who participated in The Art of Peace Challenge were celebrated.  The Challenge invited youth between the ages of 14 and 20 to create and submit artistic works that motivate Albertans to reach out and help those impacted by family violence or bullying. Participating youth had an opportunity to share their perspective through dance, film/video, music, literary/writing, theatre, visual art or a multidisciplinary approach.

The Art of Peace Challenge Showcase - November 15, 2008
